Argus C3 Brick Tan Range Finder with Flash (used by Colin Creevey in Harry Potter)

This model of Argus popularized 35mm still film format in the 1940s. It featured easy to use range focusing gears. It was used extensively during WWII. Quick to focus and rugged, made of Bakelite and metal. The new 35mm canister storage kept the film stable until it could be developed. The tan face version was used in the third Harry Potter Movie protecting Colin Creevey from Salazar Slytherin’s basilisk.

Yashica Electro-35

The Electro-35 was introduced in 1966 and proved popular throughout the 1970s. It had excellent glass in the lens and used 35mm film. In the 2012 movie The Amazing Spider Man, Andrew Garfield plays Peter Parker. He totes this beautiful camera while on his photography beat with the Daily Bugle.
